The Northern Sons can no longer claim that we are relative newcomers!  With approximately 20 years under our belt, we have grown to be the old guys on the block! 

 The Northern Sons have been fortunate over the years to be able to maintain most of the same members throughout our life.  Thom Gardiner, Marty Coney, and Rory Gardiner started getting together in 1985.  Fiddler, Chris Wilson joined in 2002.  Bill Henry is the newest "Son" , he debuted September 2007.   Welcome aboard Bill!

Over the years Northern Sons have been honoured with many awards, enjoyed many festivals, venues and stages; met many wonderful people; and thoroughly enjoyed the music we have played for everyone who has come to one of our shows.

We continue to write and record new songs, and play traditional bluegrass standards.  Our shows take our audience up in emotion with some edgy tunes and then bring them back to reality with songs like 'On Hobo's Wings', (our signature tune, penned by our very own Thom Gardiner). 

Our travels throughout Canada and the eastern United States has provided us with an opportunity to meet many old fans and allowed us to create new friends.  We are truly blessed to have a loyal fan base and thank you all for your support.
